DIY: revamping thrifted boots

My parents call me crazy for digging through the bags of donation clothes they collect every month or so, but hey, one's trash is another's treasure. I found these great, knee-high suede boots in my stepmom's bag for goodwill that almost look like they're from the 70's when you put them on.
Personally, i like the way they look normally, but i wanted to show a quick way to make them more youthful and fun. The great thing about this tutorial is that nothing is permanent (unless you want it to be) so its like three boots in one!

What you need:

Style #1: Scrunchy Booties
Instead of pulling the boots up all the way, scrunch them down. Simple! You now have yourself your own pair of adorable suede booties which cost almost nothing.

Style #2: Funky Booties
Scrunch the booties down like in step 1, but this time add your belts to the mix. Wrap them around the scrunched part while wearing the boot. Add more belts and move them around until you like the way it looks. And Voila, brand new boots in less than a minute! Go crazy and have fun!

The Mr.Kate has a similar tutorial using cowboy boots, also. (see here)
